EarthRoamer Exterior Walkthrough
While the interior of the EarthRoamer was what intrigued me most, it’s the exterior—and all the gear and technical systems—that made Jacob fall in love with it in the first place.
If you don’t know Jacob, you should know this: he’s always been a car guy. He remembers life by the vehicles involved. Ask him about a specific road trip or family vacation, and the details might be fuzzy—but the make and model of the car driven during that trip? That part he’ll never forget.
So in many ways, Jacob’s entire life has been leading up to this EarthRoamer.
On our second-ever date, back when we were living in LA, Jacob picked me up in his overland-built Jeep. For LA, this thing was a beast. It didn’t fit in parking garages with its lift, 35 inch tires, and roof top tent. It didn’t fit in the tight parallel parking spots outside my apartment. It didn’t fit the city—but it completely fit him.
That Jeep brought him so much joy. It was his ticket to escaping the urban sprawl and diving into the mountains. It’s also what expanded his understanding of how to drive technical trails, do trailside repairs and conduct complicated multi-vehicle recoveries. So many elements of that Jeep—giant tires, extra fuel storage, roof racks, kitchen, rugged utility—are mirrored in the EarthRoamer, just in a much more polished and refined way. Gone are the days of balancing on leveling blocks or setting up a makeshift outdoor shower. Now, everything’s built in—and built to last.
In this video, Jacob walks through the exterior features of our EarthRoamer and the gear that makes it adventure-ready. He covers everything from the exterior storage box setup, to the power hookups, the awning, the spare tire system, and the cab controls like lighting and leveling. If you’ve ever been curious about what’s mounted where—and how it all works together—this tour is for you.
